Estate Planning

I helped my first client with their estate plan in 1992. I work very closely with a law firm since that time and I have been able to help many individuals and families with their estate planning needs. Many did not know that they had a need or understand the consequences of not having a plan until I brought it to their attention and explained how it all worked.

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER(tm) I understand the importance of having an estate plan and it's something that I can help you put in place. Know that this is something that is not required of you, but, if you do not have such a plan, that's okay. The State of Arizona will have one for you.

The benefits of an estate plan allow for:

  • Control - you to control who gets what and when and under what circumstances after you die.
  • Ease of Transfer - avoid the complexity of probate,
  • Lower Costs - avoid the cost associate with of probate,
  • Time - avoid the time-consuming process of probate, and
  • Privacy - probate makes the contents of your estate a public matter

This is what an estate plan includes:

  • Revocable Living Trust
  • Living Will
  • Pour-over Will (Last Will & Testament)
  • Power of Attorney over Healthcare
  • Power of Attorney over Assets

At the end of the day, a proper plan will give you as much control as you want when it comes to the distribution of your assets and save your heirs time, money, aggravation, and stress associated with the probate process.
